Rhinoplasty in Málaga & Marbella: function and facial harmony

The nose is the centre of the face and the gateway to your breathing. An integrated approach improves both function and aesthetics naturally and predictably.

"Every nose is unique. My goal is for you to breathe better and feel in harmony with your image, with natural, lasting results."
Natural rhinoplasty result – Dr. Fátima Fanjul Málaga

Integrated approach

Modern rhinoplasty goes far beyond aesthetics. As an ENT specialist in rhinology, I approach every case from both a functional and aesthetic perspective simultaneously, ensuring the nose not only looks harmonious but works properly.

I use state-of-the-art ultrasonic (piezoelectric) technology to sculpt nasal bone with millimetric precision, minimising swelling and accelerating recovery. Every surgery is individually planned after a thorough assessment.

Endoscopic nasal examination

Rhinoscopy is the first step in every assessment. Using a high-definition endoscopic camera, we explore the internal nasal anatomy to identify deviations, hypertrophies or lesions affecting breathing. This information is essential for planning the most appropriate treatment.

Frequently asked questions about rhinoplasty

What is ultrasonic rhinoplasty?

It is the most advanced technique in nasal surgery. It uses piezoelectric instruments that emit ultrasonic vibrations to sculpt bone with millimetric precision, without damaging soft tissues. This means less bruising, less swelling and faster recovery.

Can breathing and aesthetics be improved at the same time?

Yes, this is very common. Septorhinoplasty combines functional correction (septal deviation, turbinates) with aesthetic improvement in a single procedure. My approach as an ENT specialist allows addressing both aspects comprehensively.

How long is the recovery?

With ultrasonic technique, initial recovery is 7-10 days. Most patients resume social and professional activities within 2 weeks. Bruising is usually minimal. The final result is appreciated between 6 and 12 months.

Are there visible scars?

With a closed approach, there are no external scars. With an open approach, the only scar is a small incision on the columella (between the nostrils) that becomes virtually invisible within weeks.

Is rhinoplasty painful?

Surgery is performed under general anaesthesia, so no pain is felt during the procedure. Postoperative discomfort is mild and easily managed with prescribed medication. Nasal congestion is the most common sensation.

Where are surgeries performed?

Procedures are performed in hospital facilities on the Costa del Sol with full safety guarantees. Assessment consultations are available in Málaga, Marbella, Estepona and Puerto Banús.
